Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Insurance Broker specializing in Legal Expense Insurance to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our legal expense insurance offerings, building relationships with clients, and providing tailored insurance solutions to meet their needs. You will collaborate closely with underwriting, marketing, and support teams to ensure our clients\' legal expense insurance requirements are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on legal expense insurance coverage that suits their needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal teammates.
  • Analyze client risk exposures and recommend coverage options.
  • Prepare and present quotes for new business, renewals, and endorsements.
  • Process policy documentation, including applications, binders, and certificates of insurance.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and sales teams to ensure policies meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Stay informed about changes in legal expense insurance products and industry trends.
  • Manage client communications, ensuring timely responses and exceptional service.
  • Develop tailored Legal Expense programs for affinity groups and associations.

Qualifications/Experience
  • RIBO licensed, in good standing (or willingness to obtain within six months, supported by us).
  • Minimum 2 years of insurance experience, with legal expense insurance being a strong asset.
  • CIP, CAIB, or CRM designations are considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Competitive annual salary based on experience. 80% commission in first year. This is a commission only position.
