BCAA is hiring for Insurance Advisor roles in Victoria, BC. The role focuses on helping clients select the right mix of insurance products, building trust, and meeting annual licensing requirements.

Preference given to Senior Insurance Advisor candidates, with opportunities to progress from Advisor to Senior Advisor. The position emphasizes relationship-building, accurate coverage reviews, and collaboration with underwriting to meet sales and service goals.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of general insurance experience.
• Experience selling homeowners insurance preferred.
• Valid Insurance license Level 1 or 2.
• CAIB certification and ICBC systems experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Issue BCAA insurance products to current and new customers.
• Review current coverage and make recommendations.
• Collaborate with BCAA Support Teams and Underwriting to assess coverage.
• Achieve sales and productivity goals while upholding BCAA and AAA/CAA Member experience goals.
• Lead customer accounts and documentation from payments to endorsements and cancellations.
• Participate in training and maintain annual licensing requirements.

Making a difference in someone’s day makes your day too!What you bring:At least 1 to 2 consecutive years’ experience of general insurance experience, including one year experience selling homeowners insurance (Senior Insurance Advisor).Level 1 (Insurance Advisor) or 2 (Senior Insurance Advisor) Insurance licenseCompletion of Autoplan EssentialsLimited history of Errors & Omissions and in good standing with the Insurance Council of BCComfortable using technology, including basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Bonus qualifications! CAIB certification, experience using ICBC systems, and ability to speak other languages aside from English.What a typical day looks like:Independently issue BCAA insurance products and services to current and new customers to meet their needs. You’ll help them secure and/or renew their policies by reviewing current coverage and making recommendations.Collaborate with BCAA Support Teams and Underwriting to assess and recommend the right coverage for our customers.Achieve sales and productivity goals while upholding BCAA and AAA/CAA Member experience goals and underwriting guidelines.Lead customer accounts and documentation, from processing payments to issuing new, renewal, endorsements and cancellations for Insurance policies, BCAA Memberships, and additional products and services.Increase your industry knowledge and expertise towards becoming a team lead or people leader. You’ll participate in BCAA’s training courses, maintain annual licensing requirements and keep up to date with the latest processes, products and service offerings in the insurance industry in a supportive environment.The salary range for this position is $48,405.36 to $60,506.64 for an Insurance Advisor role . For a Senior Insurance Advisor role , the salary range for this position is $53,254.44 to $66,568.08 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity.
