A local government organization in Kelowna is seeking an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician to join their Wastewater team. The ideal candidate will have an Electrical Trade Ticket and a High School Diploma. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing electrical components, troubleshooting issues, and working in the City’s wastewater facilities. This position offers a competitive rate of $45.69 per hour along with comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.
Bring your electrical and instrumentation knowledge and experience to our Wastewater team. Working in an industrial electrical environment, you will install, calibrate, maintain and repair electrical and instrumentation components, configure programmable logic computers, wireless communication networks and trouble‑shoot electrical and instrumentation problems in the City’s Wastewater facilities, Lift Stations and other operations.
To be successful, candidates will require an Electrical Trade Ticket, along with a High school Diploma and a Class 5 Driver’s License. Preference may be given to those that hold or can obtain an FSR designation and/or hold a Diploma in Instrumentation Technology. Please note that the successful candidate is required to reside within a 20-minute commute to the designated work location due to emergency on‑call requirements.

There is a career development plan in place for the Red Seal Instrumentation ticket with an opportunity to earn up to an additional $3 per hour upon completion.
