A municipal organization is seeking a Summer Student for the role of Instrument Person in Lloydminster, Alberta. This position requires assisting the Engineering Services team with Capital Projects, performing surveys, conducting inspections, and participating in safety management. Candidates must be enrolled in engineering studies with a valid driver's license and clean driving record. The term runs from May 4 to August 28, 2026, at a pay rate of $18.05 per hour.

Term: Full-Time, Summer Term (May 4, 2026 – August 28, 2026)
Rate of Pay: $18.05 per hour (Student Wage Band, Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement)
Location: Operations Centre
Duties: The Instrument Person will work with the City of Lloydminster’s Engineering Services team and will assist the team with delivering completed Capital Projects as well as respond to interdepartmental needs.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Schedule: Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with the occasional requirement to work outside these hours as required by potential Capital Projects. Weekend and on-call work may be required depending on the construction scheduling of Capital Programs.
Special Instructions: Applicants must be attending a post-secondary program including college or university during the last school term and returning to studies in the subsequent academic year. Verification of student status will be required.
