What You Will Be Doing
  • Installing, calibrating, and configuring instruments, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and related equipment.
  • Rebuilding all various types of valves, actuators and controllers.
  • Performing loop checks, functional tests, and commissioning activities to ensure accurate system integration.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibrations on a wide range of instruments.
  • Troubleshooting and repair pneumatic, electronic, and digital control systems.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities, calibration reports, and instrument histories.
  • Supporting control system upgrades, modifications, and project implementations.
  • Ensuring all work complies with company, client, and regulatory safety standards.
  • Collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior technicians or apprentices in instrumentation practices.
Your Skills And Qualifications
  • Journeyman Instrument Mechanic certification (or equivalent trade certification).
  • 5+ years of experience in instrumentation maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting (oil & gas industry experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of process measurement devices (pressure, temperature, flow, level) and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA).
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with pneumatic, electronic, and microprocessor-based instrumentation.
  • Commitment to safety and familiarity with OSHA/industry safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
