A regional education institution in Whitehorse is seeking two dynamic educators for the Instructor role in the Yukon Native Teacher Education Program. The position emphasizes culturally responsive teaching and engagement with Yukon First Nations educational priorities. Overview

Instructor, Yukon Native Teacher Education Program (YNTEP) and the Bachelor of Education After Degree (BEAD). Yukon University is seeking two dynamic educators to instruct in YNTEP and BEAD. YNTEP is a Bachelor of Education program credentialed by the University of Regina and delivered fully in the Yukon, with an emphasis on teaching in rural, Yukon First Nation communities. The main function of the instructor position is teaching with emphasis on culturally responsive teaching practices, the decolonization and Indigenization of pedagogy, and enacting Yukon First Nations educational priorities. The Instructor will also bring current best practices in teacher education, Indigenous education, and teaching and learning in a postsecondary environment into the program.

Campus: Ayamdigut (Whitehorse) Campus
Term: One year with possibility of extension
Starting: November 14, 2025
Workload: Based on 37.5 hours bi-weekly
