VISA 2P94 Drawing: Ideas and Imagination

Idea development, integration of media and conceptual approaches. Lectures, studio work, 4 hours per week.

Winter Term (D3) Wednesday 09:00–13:00

Compensation
  • Effective September 1, 2024 – $7,471.08 per half course (195 hours nominally)
  • Effective September 1, 2024 – $14,942.17 per full course (390 hours nominally)

Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2‑hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2‑hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement and include scheduled contact time with students and non‑classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications
  • MFA is required.
  • At least two years experience teaching at the university level.
  • Background in teaching drawing materials and techniques with emphasis on composition, idea development, integration of media and conceptual approaches.
  • Record of professional activity and exhibitions demonstrating standing in the arts community.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level in the area to be taught, provided by copies of recent teaching evaluations.
