A distinguished educational institution in Duncan, BC seeks instructors for its Pharmacy Technician program. Candidates must be licensed Pharmacy Technicians with teaching experience and a strong understanding of pharmacy technician roles. The Faculty of Health Sciences and Human Services includes the Departments of Child and Youth Care, Dental Assistant, Dental Hygiene, Health Care Assistant, Nursing, Practical Nursing, Social Work, Kinesiology, and a Professional Development and Training department. The mission of the Faculty is to foster student success and develop and maintain relevant, responsive, and stimulating learning opportunities that are community-based, globally and locally, and offered in a visionary, interprofessional environment that is conducive to learning and promotes health and wellness for all. The Dean and the Dean's Office lead, manage, administer and support the instructional, scholarly and outreach activities of the Faculty on four campuses with this mission in mind.

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching, learning, and student success. Successful candidates will participate in activities outside the classroom including student support and department committees.
To instruct PTEC 220 Technology for Product Distribution & PTEC 221 Prescription Dispensing Intake, the incumbents must be currently working in a Community setting and have a firm knowledge of KROLL and all Community based processes.
To instruct PTEC 223 Institutional Dispensing and Sterile Product Preparation, incumbents must be currently working in a hospital setting and be Certified in aseptic compounding techniques in accordance with the NAPRA Model Standards for Pharmacy Compounding of Sterile Preparations (hazardous and non-hazardous).
To instruct PTEC 224 Non-Sterile Compounding, incumbents must currently be working in a Community or Hospital setting and have a firm understanding of non-sterile compounding procedures.
