Overview

GG Developmental Therapy Services Inc. is seeking two committed and compassionate individuals to join our team as Instructors for Persons with Disabilities. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about empowering individuals with diverse abilities and supporting their journey toward greater independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • As an Instructor, you will play a central role in designing and delivering customized rehabilitation and education plans to meet each client’s unique needs.
  • Assess clients’ cognitive, physical, emotional, and social challenges to help establish clear adaptation and rehabilitation goals.
  • Work closely with clients, families, and other professionals to support the development of life skills and promote independence.
  • Assessing clients’ physical and cognitive limitations to support rehabilitation planning
  • Teaching braille, lip-reading, finger spelling, and sign language
  • Instructing in the use of mobility aids and assistive devices such as wheelchairs and prosthetics
  • Supporting speech development using hearing aids and other tools
  • Assisting with the development of life skills
  • Collaborating with specialists to design and implement personalized intervention strategies
  • Creating individualized education and adaptation plans
Qualifications
  • Completion of a 1–2 year college diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Client-focused approach with flexibility, initiative, and good judgment
Work environment
  • On-site at our Brampton location (remote work is not available)
  • Fast-paced and physically demanding; includes bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage a large workload under pressure is essential
