Location

This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.

Reporting to an Associate Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), the Instructional Designer - AI and Assessment, supports instructors and instructional teams in designing effective, innovative, and evidence-informed approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment. The position provides particular expertise in the thoughtful use of AI to enhance teaching and learning and support evolving approaches to assessment.

As a member of the CTL team, the Instructional Designer:

• Develops and delivers professional learning and resources on AI, assessment, and instructional design.
• Provides consultation to instructors and instructional teams on course and assessment design across face-to-face, online, remote, and blended contexts.
• Promotes and models effective teaching practices aligned with the Teaching, Learning, and Evaluation Policy and Framework for Effective Teaching.
• Collaborates across CTL to develop coherent, integrated programming and services.
• Contributes to the evaluation and continuous improvement of CTL programs and services through evidence-informed and scholarly approaches.
