Job summary

A financial services company in Calgary is seeking an experienced instructional designer to develop both e-learning and instructor-led training solutions. You will conduct needs analyses, design training programs, and ensure alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate has a relevant university degree and 2-3 years of experience in training design. Proficiency in design software and strong communication skills are required. Bilingualism is an asset.

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of related experience in training design and development.
  • Experience designing and developing both e-learning and instructor-led training solutions.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in design and e-learning software packages like Articulate and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with team members and internal customers.
  • Ability to perform well in a busy environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and openness to feedback.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management, organization, and project management skills.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.

  • Design and develop self-paced and instructor-led training programs using instructional design best practices and e-learning creation tools (e.g., rapid authoring tools)
  • Create training material, activities, and assessments that are aligned to business goals
  • Validate and evaluate various training and development programs

  • University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline is considered an asset (e.g., Adult Education, Instructional Design, or Technical Writing / Communications)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of related experience in training design and development
  • Experience designing and developing both e-learning and instructor-led training solutions

  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Proficiency in a variety of design and e-learning software packages (i.e. Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)

Salary range is $58,100 - $106,900
