A leading energy organization in Calgary is looking for an Instructional Designer to shape high-impact learning across the organization. This role involves assessing learning needs, designing and implementing engaging training content, and ensuring compliance with training programs. The position is a fixed-term one-year opportunity with the potential for extension, offering competitive compensation and a hybrid work setup. The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is responsible for the safe, reliable, and economic planning and operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. We provide open and non-discriminatory access to Alberta’s interconnected power grid and also facilitate Alberta’s competitive wholesale electricity market. Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, the Instructional Designer plays a key role in shaping high-impact learning across the organization. This role is responsible for assessing learning needs and designing, developing, and implementing engaging learning content, materials, and program plans that support organizational goals. Working collaboratively across the organization, the Instructional Designer ensures compliance requirements are met while advancing corporate training programs that drive continuous improvement and strengthen organizational performance.
This is a fixed term one year opportunity, with the possibility of a six-month extension, offers competitive compensation, paid vacation, and health & dental benefits as part of your overall compensation package. We support a hybrid work environment, where the team is in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays are flexible for where you work best.
