Job summary

Oxford Learning Centres Inc. is looking for a passionate Part-Time English Instructional Coach in Caledonia. You will help students succeed in English by teaching in-person lessons up to three students at a time, utilizing pre-planned curriculum materials. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or comparable certification, along with teaching experience. The position requires a commitment to after-school and evening hours, offering $18 to $22 per hour, along with growth opportunities and training.

Qualifications

  • Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level.
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum is an asset but not a must.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
  • Completing daily student communication updates.

Part-Time English Instructional Coach

Oxford Learning Caledonia is currently seeking part-time teacher‑tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in this area.

Teacher‑tutors at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements

All Teacher‑Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after‑school and evening hours (3:30 pm - 7:00 pm) as well as some Saturdays (10:00 am - 3:00 pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred, and continuing through the summer is even better.

This role is in‑person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Currently enrolled or completion of university or college

Salary

$18 - $22 per hour

Schedule
  • Evenings: Monday to Thursday - 1 to 3 hours per shift from 3:30 pm - 8:00 pm
  • Saturday availability - 1 to 3 hours per shift from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm
