Job summary

SGS in Canada seeks Pipeline Inspectors (General, Welding and Coating) for a major integrity dig program in Northern Ontario. These contract roles offer the chance to work on a high-profile project with a global leader in quality and sustainability.

Ideal candidates have strong pipeline inspection backgrounds, with coating or welding inspection experience highly preferred. The assignment runs through mid-November 2026 and includes paid travel and related costs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of general inspection experience with API 1169/1184 certifications.
• 2+ years of coating inspection experience with API 1169/1184 certifications; AMPP/NACE CIP Level 1 (Level 2 preferred).
• 8-10 years of welding/welding inspection experience; CSA W178.2 Level 1 or 2; knowledge of CSA Z662/ASME B31.3.

What You'll Need

• General Inspector: 3+ years of general inspection experience, API 1169 & 1184 certifications, strong knowledge of pipeline construction, oil & gas pipeline or industrial facilities experience, high school diploma or equivalent
• Coating Inspector: 2+ years of coating inspection experience, API 1169 & 1184 certifications, AMPP/NACE CIP Level 1 (Level 2 preferred), knowledge of coating codes/standards, oil & gas pipeline or industrial facilities experience, high school diploma or equivalent
• Welding Inspector: 8-10 years of welding/welding inspection experience, API 1169 & 1184 certifications, CSA W178.2 Level 1 or 2, strong knowledge of CSA Z662/ASME B31.3, oil & gas pipeline or industrial facilities experience, high school diploma or equivalent, relevant technical background

What Will Make You Stand Out

• 8-10 years of oil & gas pipeline and industrial facilities experience (General Inspector preferred)
• Red Seal Trade Certification
• AMPP/NACE CIP Level 2 (Coating Inspector preferred)
• B-Pressure Welding experience
• Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring inspection teams
