Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative to join our Inside Sales team. Reporting to the Manager, Inside Sales, the person in this role will also work closely with the Regional Manager and Account Managers in the Pacific / Prairies Regions supporting sales and ensuring positive relationships with Esri Canada clients. This role will be based remotely in the Pacific region (Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna).

Responsibilities
- Responding to telephone/fax/e-mail inquiries related to product or offered services
- Directing requests regarding maintenance, customer service, or technical support to the appropriate teams. Participate as requested by the Customer Care team on maintenance renewal efforts
- Proactively reach out to all assigned Accounts in the CRM on a regular basis to assess their current and future needs and to respond to them in a prompt, accurate manner. Provide post-sales follow ups with customers
- Generate leads, or qualify incoming leads from Marketing, and either forward to Sales or follow up as appropriate. Follow up with clients for initial discovery after marketing seminars or webcasts or conferences
- Promote, quote, and sell Esri products, services and training and/or 3rd party products offered by Esri Canada to the Esri Canada client base as appropriate
- Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken in the corporate CRM system.
- Work with Regional Manager/Marketing on various client campaigns and target marketing
- Contact customers to promote trainings, marketing events, and user conferences when required
- Act as a backup for the other Inside Sales representative
- Coordinate pre-order processing including sending customers required sales order documents
What you bring to the team
- University/College degree in GIS, Geography, Business & Commerce or related areas
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in Sales or Consulting
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
- Computer skills: Knowledge of GIS
- Familiar with entire suite of MS Office
- Customer focused
- Self-motivated / initiative
- Competitive, problem solver with a get it done type attitude
- Eagerness to learn and technical aptitude a must
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Able to work well under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines
Bonus points for this position
- Familiarity with customer relationship management software (Salesforce)
- Understanding of software sales agreements / policies
- Understanding of Marketing and GIS business
