Job summary

Banque Nationale du Canada is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to drive growth for National Bank Investments in Montreal. You will prospect, qualify, and convert opportunities, delivering high-quality client interactions and collaborating with Directors to achieve sales targets.

You will engage with Investment Advisors and Financial Planners, managing campaigns and maintaining market knowledge to support business development and invest solutions adoption.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field; four years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of the Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), or willingness to obtain one of these certifications within the first six months of employment.
  • Solid knowledge of financial markets and investment solutions.
  • Relevant experience in business development, prospecting, or financial product sales.
  • Strong ability to qualify business opportunities and develop client relationships.
  • This role requires a minimum in-office presence of three days per week; occasional travel may be required, including national sales meetings and client events.

Job description

A career as a Inside Sales Associatewithin the National Bank Investments team means playing an active role in business growth by increasing awareness and adoption of our investment solutions among Investment Advisors and Financial Planners.


Leveraging your expertise in business development, sales, and financial markets, you identify and qualify new business opportunities within the channels of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). Through prospecting activities including phone calls, emails, digital interactions, and marketing campaigns, you advance high-potential prospects through the segmentation process and contribute to the growth objectives of National Bank Investments.


Your Role


  • Conduct sales and business development calls to achieve prospecting objectives and support business growth.

  • Actively contribute to business development efforts within your territory by identifying and qualifying prospective clients.

  • Advance qualified high-potential prospects through the segmentation process to support the achievement of sales objectives and targets.

  • Prepare, implement, and evaluate sales campaigns through calls, emails, digital interactions, and marketing initiatives.

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience and high-quality interactions to prospective and newly acquired clients.

  • Collaborate with Business Development Associates and Sales Directors to share best practices, drive overall sales success, and stay informed on market developments and investment solutions.

As part of the team, you will work in Montreal alongside Regional Directors, Business Development Associates, and a Sales Coordinator. You will report to the Senior Director, Internal Sales. Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field and a minimum of four years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience.

  • Completion of the Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), or willingness to obtain one of these certifications within the first six months of employment.
