A healthcare organization in British Columbia is seeking a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to provide and coordinate psychiatric nursing care services. The ideal candidate will have a degree from an approved nursing school and be skilled in crisis intervention, communication, and patient advocacy. Qualifications

  • Current Practicing Registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
  • May require completion of substance use certificate program.

Responsibilities

  • Assess plans, implements and evaluates nursing care of assigned patients.
  • Communicates and consults with health care team about patients' care.
  • Acts as an advocate to protect and promote patient rights.
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.
