Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Restaurant Supervisor to join our team and help oversee the day-to-day operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences while fostering a positive work environment for the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth functioning of the restaurant.
  • Motivate, train, and support staff to achieve excellent service standards.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards as per local regulations.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets for inventory, cost control, and wages.
  • Oversee daily cash flow, reconcile receipts, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Work closely with management to develop strategies for enhancing service, sales, and profitability.
  • Supervise the floor to ensure INNGrill standards and steps of service are met in all guest interactions.
  • Ensure opening and closing checklists, requisitions, and related functions are completed each shift.
  • Communicate effectively to provide clear direction to the team, observe performance, and encourage improvement where necessary.
  • Ensure staffing levels are accurate based on restaurant, events, and hotel business levels.
  • Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings with pertinent information (house count, menu changes).
  • Maintain positive and clear communication with guests and employees and respond with appropriate actions.
  • Remain calm during emergencies or heavy activity, serving as a role model for the team.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures for Food & Beverage are in place and compliant with relevant practices.
  • Ensure that steps of service outlined in training materials are followed daily.
  • This is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all functions; other suitable duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team management and guest interaction.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Valid ProServe certification is required.
