Job summary

Drake International is seeking an experienced injection moulding professional in Ontario to calibrate, troubleshoot, and optimize manufacturing processes on continental shift schedules. The role focuses on maintaining quality, efficiency, and minimizing downtime within a dynamic team environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in injection moulding, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and ERP/CMMS systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of injection moulding processing experience.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate machine parameters using data sheets and target specs.
• Troubleshoot processing issues such as flashing, shorts, dimensional inconsistencies.
• Monitor production processes and adjust to optimize quality and efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Oversee and track work orders in ERP/CMMS systems.
• Train shift supervisors and cell leads on machine use and procedures.
• Lead and support product launches, mould trials, process validation and production start-ups.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process/product challenges.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce scrap.

The role

• Calibrate machine parameters using data sheets and the target specifications
• Troubleshoot processing issues such as flashing, shorts, dimensional inconsistencies
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments to optimize quality and efficiency and reduce downtime
• Monitor machines for possible upcoming repairs and work with maintenance to keep optimization of machine efficiency
• Oversee and track work orders in ERP systems/CMMS Systems
• Train shift supervisors and cell leads on use, care, processes, and procedures for injection molding machines and supporting equipment
• Lead and support new product launches, mould trials, process validation, and production start-ups
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to process and production challenges
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency, reducing scrap and improving quality
• Other duties as assigned by management
