Job summary

PSP Investments, based in Montréal, seeks an experienced investment professional to originate infrastructure debt opportunities and manage complex underwriting across North American and European opportunities. The role emphasizes leadership, multi‑team coordination and rigorous credit evaluation.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in private credit or related fields, strong financial modelling skills and experience in project finance and structured lending.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related discipline.
• Approximately seven (7) + years of relevant experience in direct lending, private credit, leveraged finance, investment banking, private equity or related investment environment.
• Prior work experience in Infrastructure/Energy origination or investing is required.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex credit underwriting, due diligence and transaction execution processes.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, accounting and credit analysis skills.
• Experience mentoring junior investment professionals and managing multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Originate infrastructure debt investment opportunities with core partners alongside the Credit Investments Senior Team.
• Lead evaluation and screening of opportunities across sectors including transportation, energy, renewables, digital infrastructure, utilities and social infrastructure.
• Develop investment theses and underwriting strategies aligned with PSP mandates and risk-return framework.
• Contribute to infrastructure debt portfolio strategies by sector, geography and financing structure.
• Lead complex credit underwriting and due diligence for project finance, corporate debt, acquisition financing and structured lending.
• Oversee financial modelling, valuation analyses and credit assessments; validate key assumptions.
