Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of experience as an Infrastructure Automation Specialist or similar role.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing automation solutions for complex infrastructure environments.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tools.

A Day in the Life
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand automation needs for various infrastructure components.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts, tools, and frameworks to streamline provisioning, configuration, deployment, and monitoring of infrastructure resources.
  • Create and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to ensure consistent and reproducible infrastructure deployments.
  • Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for infrastructure changes, ensuring rapid and reliable updates.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation enhancement within the infrastructure and operations landscape.
  • Monitor the performance and reliability of automated systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for infrastructure security and compliance within the automation processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to infrastructure automation, scripting, and orchestration.
What We Are Seeking
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3-4 yrs of proven experience as an Infrastructure Automation Specialist or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing automation solutions for complex infrastructure environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ruby, with the ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code.
  • Hands‑on experience with infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git to manage and track changes to automation scripts and configurations.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with cloud automation services.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices in the context of infrastructure automation.
  • Relevant certifications in automation, scripting, cloud platforms, or related areas are advantageous.
