Job summary

A North American tire company located in York Region, Vaughan is seeking an IT Support Specialist to manage user IT issues and support corporate IT services, including networks and servers. The ideal candidate must possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology and have over 2 years of relevant experience. This full-time position requires strong customer service skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in an IT role, preferably in a medium-sized organization with multiple locations.
  • Must have valid G license and own reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work evenings/weekends when required.

Responsibilities

Position Reporting To

Manager, Infrastructure

Summary/Objective

Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure, the IT Support Specialist will be responsible for receiving and assessing end user IT issues; performs appropriate trouble shooting activities for application, system and network environments. Will help to maintain and monitor corporate IT services including networks, servers, phones and endpoints. Will help to implement and maintain Network / System monitoring solutions. Responding to and managing requests to include user assistance, desk side support, customer E-Comm application support, and other various IT projects.

Essential Functions
  • Monitor and Administer on-premise and remote users/IT infrastructure
  • Configure and setup of user account/hardware/software
  • Perform User Training workshops
  • Manage E-Commerce customer setup requests
  • Managing/solving tickets in the Helpdesk system
  • Work on projects assigned
  • Any other duties as required
Travel
  • Minor local travel with occasional US travel
Skills and Qualifications

Customer Service oriented. Must be available to work evenings/weekends when required. Must be able to work effectively in a team-based collaborative environment. Demonstrates ownership of assigned responsibilities with a positive self-starter attitude. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to work independently with minimal direction.

Required Education and Experience

2+ years’ experience in an IT role, preferably in a medium sized organization with multiple locations

Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Information Technology

Comp TIA A+, Network+, Security+ Certification preferred

Experienced using Active Directory/Entra ID, Azure, Intune and M365 eco systems

Experienced in Telecom / Smartphone support

Experienced in IT Security fundamentals

Able to troubleshoot and search for solutions through available tools, internet, knowledge base

Motivated to learn and grow with the organization

Must have valid G license and own reliable transportation as some local travel and after-hours work may be required.
