THE TEAM

The mission of the Retail Technology Department is to design, build, deliver and operate robust, efficient and scalable Retail technology solutions that align with our strategic business and technology goals.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Retail Technology team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for designing, building, delivering, and operating robust, efficient, and scalable Retail Technology solutions that align with Aritzia’s strategic business and technology goals. As the QA Manager, Retail Technology, you will lead and manage quality assurance efforts across the Retail domain, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality solutions and products. You will develop and implement advanced testing strategies, optimize QA processes, and collaborate closely with other Technology teams and business partners to align QA efforts with organizational objectives. THE ROLE

As the QA Manager, Retail Technology, you will:

  • Establish and refine QA processes and a strategic test approach, balancing manual and automated testing, and define key metrics to align practices with business goals and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
  • Develop and implement structured, scalable test plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and deliverables, while coordinating testing activities across teams for comprehensive coverage.
  • Execute test scripts and document test cases for Retail Technology solutions across waterfall and agile methodologies in partnership with the business.
  • Partner with QA automation engineering to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline for efficient, scalable test execution.
  • Manage and maintain test data and environments, ensuring data integrity, system reliability, and scalable infrastructure to support QA workflows.
  • Triage defects and prioritize, track, resolve and close issues while leveraging root cause analysis to implement preventative measures.
  • Work with Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives, while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience.
THE QUALIFICATIONS

Proven and best-in-class skills, education, and/or applicable certifications

  • Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience in:
    • Leading and mentoring QA teams, fostering a culture of growth and development
    • Developing and implementing test strategies for complex, high-impact projects with a focus on scalability, quality, and efficiency
    • Omni Channel Point of Sale experience is important (e.g. Oracle, Adyen) , API testing, and microservices architecture, ensuring end-to-end test coverage and seamless system integration
    • Test automation (e.g., Eggplant, Selenium, Cypress, Tosca), performance testing (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner), and CI/CD pipelines
    • Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ensuring effective integration and continuous delivery across diverse development environments
  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
  • A growth mindset and commitment to continuous development and improvement
  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus.
