Job description

We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled IT Support Technician to join our team in Sydney, NS. The successful candidate will provide front-line technical support and solutions to our clients—both in-person and remotely—ensuring optimal IT system performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver front-line technical customer service and support.
  • Consult with customers to diagnose issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems (Windows, macOS, printers, NAS devices, firewalls, routers).
  • Provide remote, in-person, and onsite support for clients.
  • Configure and maintain Microsoft 365, Windows Server environments, and cloud solutions.
  • Set up and document network devices, workstations, and applications.
  • Install and configure hardware for NAS and backup solutions.
  • Maintain detailed service records and IT documentation.
  • Train end-users on basic IT functionalities and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Post-secondary diploma or bachelor’s degree with a focus on IT.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PC/laptop hardware, networking, operating systems, and software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or Windows Server Administration are considered an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.
  • Must reside within a 30-minute commute of Sydney, NS, or be willing to relocate (moving expenses not covered).

Note:Web/software developer applicants will not be considered unless they meet the above criteria.
