Job Title : Information Security Specialist

Must Haves

Education & Experience

• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Minimum years’ IT experience in a large-scale enterprise environment, with at least years focused on information security

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of IT architecture, information security standards, risk management, and compliance best practices
• Experience administering enterprise-level Unix-based servers
• Strong scripting skills (Shell, bash, Python or similar)
• Experience with database configuration (SQL Server, MySQL)
• Expert understanding of client / server application deployment and support
• Experience with intrusion detection and prevention (host & network, active & passive)
• Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability scanning tools (, Metasploit, Nessus)
• Experience with network and security analysis tools
• Experience selecting, configuring, and deploying security tools (, Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus, Anti-DDOS)
• Ability to audit systems for compliance standards (, PCIDSS, PA-DSS)

Plusses :

• Training or certification in project management
• IT Security certifications (, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+)
• Experience in high-performance computing systems management and networking
• Background in forensic IT investigation and evidence gathering
• Experience drafting and implementing information security standards and guidelines
• Familiarity with securing virtualized environments and services
• Strong understanding of process design, process integration, and process improvement methodologies
• Ability to translate and leverage technical data into business recommendations
• Experience delivering security awareness training
