Job summary

Teck Resources Limited’s Trail Operations is hiring an Industrial Warehouseperson to safely receive, store, issue and distribute materials supporting plant operations in Trail, BC. You will help maintain inventory accuracy while providing excellent service to maintenance and operations teams.

The role requires strong organization, safety commitment, and experience in a warehouse environment, with on-site work and equipment operation including forklifts and Hiab trucks.

Qualifications

  • Must have Grade 12 or equivalent and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
  • Experience in an industrial inventory/warehouse environment preferred.
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, store and issue materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and cycle counts.
  • Operate forklifts, Hiab truck and other material handling gear safely.
  • Support shipping, logistics and internal customer service.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Group Superintendent, Warehouse & Materials Management, the Industrial Warehouseperson is responsible for the safe and efficient receiving, storage, handling, issuance, and distribution of materials, supplies, and equipment that support Trail Operations. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the reliability of plant operations through effective materials management practices.

This role is well suited for an individual with strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and experience working in an industrial inventory and warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all applicable safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Receive, inspect, identify, and store incoming materials and equipment.
  • Pick, issue, and deliver parts, supplies, and materials to internal customers.
  • Process shipping and receiving transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Operate equipment including light vehicles, forklifts, 5-ton truck, Hiab Truck, sweeper and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment activities.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, housekeeping, and storage standards.
  • Support shipping, transportation, and logistics activities.
  • Assist with sourcing and expediting materials required for maintenance and operations.
  • Maintain inventory storage systems, storage locations, and material staging areas to ensure safe, organized, and efficient storage of inventory and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory records and ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to maintenance, operations, engineering, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and customer service.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify industrial parts, equipment, and materials.

Pay Range: $ 51.01
