Job summary

WSP Canada is seeking a cybersecurity professional to secure Canada's energy and power systems as they modernize through digital transformation. You will operate at the nexus of OT and IT, shaping security for major infrastructure projects and collaborating with engineers, designers, and builders to embed controls across lifecycles.

The role emphasizes threat and risk assessments, security architecture, and clear communication with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial OT or IC cybersecurity, ideally within the energy or power sector.
• Degree in engineering, computer science, networking, telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
• Practical knowledge of IEC 62443, NERC CIP, NIST, and ISO 2700x frameworks.
• Hands-on understanding of OT and IT protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC UA, and TCP/IP.
• Experience with vulnerability management, security architecture, and cyber risk governance.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility, or equivalent international accreditation, is an asset.
• Relevant certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, GIAC, or CompTIA Security+ are valued.

• Shape cybersecurity strategies for major infrastructure projects and multi-year digital transformation programs
• Lead threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments for complex OT environments

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135,200 - $179,100

MB & ON: $123,300 - $169,800

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $122,100 - $162,200
