Job summary

Kicking Horse Coffee in Invermere, BC, seeks an experienced Millwright to keep our production plant running smoothly. You’ll be hands-on with roasting, packaging, and facility systems, trouble-shooting issues, upgrading equipment, and ensuring reliability.

You’ll mentor apprentices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent quality. The role is on-site, full-time with a Friday-to-Sunday 3‑12 hour shift and an hourly wage of 39.72 CAD, plus premiums for overnight shifts and

Qualifications

• Ticketed Millwright with 2+ years of industrial equipment experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience with vacuums, blowers, gearboxes and scales.
• Ability to read schematics and interpret mechanical/electrical diagrams.
• Familiarity with HMI, VFDs and PLC fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment across roasting, packaging, and facility systems.
• Install, modify, and upgrade machinery to improve performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with production to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Plan and complete preventative maintenance per the PM Program.
• Manage spare parts and critical inventory.
• Identify root causes and implement long-term fixes.
• Support lean initiatives to improve flow and reduce waste.
• Work with teammates, cross-functional partners, and external contractors.
• Mentor apprentices and developing technicians.
• Document work, issues, and improvements accurately.
• Follow health, safety, and quality program requirements.
