Job summary

KPIC Maintenance Services Inc., part of the FWS Group, is seeking an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) to support grain handling, feed mill and food processing facilities. The role covers preventative and reactive maintenance, with a focus on safe practices and high-quality workmanship.

We offer profit sharing, RRSPs, and opportunities for training and advancement across several Western Canadian locations. A signing bonus may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Enrolled in Apprenticeship program; Journeyman status is an asset.
• Understanding of welding principles; CWB certification (asset) preferred.
• Ability to install, examine, diagnose, and adjust various industrial equipment.
• Willingness to work in grain dust environments and outdoor sites.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Operate equipment safely (forklift, skid steer, scissor lifts) and perform hoisting/rigging as required.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance including installations and dismantling.
• Read and interpret equipment drawings and lay out work per specifications and manuals.
• Weld and cut using various welding equipment; ensure quality workmanship.
• Supervise laborers and resources as needed for tasks.
• Mentor and train junior workers; complete daily KPIC paperwork to standard.
• Maintain tools and keep tool trailer organized and secure.
