A leading engineering services company is recruiting an Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Fitter for a casual/temporary position offshore Newfoundland and Labrador. This role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. Candidates will be expected to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme weather conditions. Wood is recruiting an Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Fitter – Adhoc (Casual /Temporary) to join its Operations team focusing on the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This opportunity is offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, working on an as needed, call-out basis. As an Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Fitter, you will install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. As well as planning and executing millwright activities in accordance with drawings and specifications. Within this role you will work in confined spaces and/or at heights, in outdoor and extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

The Role
  • Location: Offshore Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Site / Office based: Hibernia Platform
  • Hours of work: 12 hours per day
  • Rotation / work pattern: Call out, as needed
  • Required: Site-specific medical, drug and alcohol testing
  • Unionized position: Rates follow the Collective Bargaining Agreement

You will be working in confined spaces and/or at heights, as well as noisy conditions. Work may be indoors or outdoors, and at extreme temperatures.
