Job summary

CBCL Limited is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-in-Training to join our Industrial Services team, supporting pulp and paper projects across Atlantic Canada. You will work with experienced engineers on challenging industrial projects, developing practical, sustainable mechanical solutions and building your technical skills in a collaborative consulting environment.

Ideal candidates are early-career mechanical engineers with a strong technical foundation, interest in piping, pumps, tanks, heat

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with registration/eligibility for EIT (APEGNB).
• Co-op/internship or early-career experience in consulting engineering preferred.
• Interest in industrial mechanical design and pulp and paper environments.

Responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of industrial mechanical projects for pulp and paper facilities.
• Assist with calculations, layouts, piping design, specs, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align design with process and civil/electrical considerations.
• Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction reviews.
• Develop knowledge of codes, safety practices, and industry requirements.
