The College of New Caledonia is seeking a sessional instructor to teach in the Industrial Mechanic Program. The successful candidate will promote safety practices, foster a safety-first culture with students, and contribute to a positive, professional learning environment within the CNC community.

You will collaborate with colleagues to advance the college's vision, mission and goals and support the needs of learners and communities.

Formación

• An Interprovincial Trades Qualification in the Industrial Mechanic trade.
• Five years of experience as a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic.
• Preference for current in-trade status and teaching/supervisory experience.
• Ability to work with students individually or in groups.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

The College of New Caledonia is looking for a sessional instructor to teach in the Industrial Mechanic Program.

Skills & Qualifications

• An Interprovincial Trades Qualification in the Industrial Mechanic trade.
• Five years of experience working as a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic in a number of industrial settings.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are current in the trade and who have recent proven teaching and/or supervisory experience.
• The successful candidate should be able to deal effectively with students on an individual or group basis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams) is required.
• Completion of the Provincial Instructor’s Diploma Program ( PIDP ) would be considered an asset.

You will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues.
