Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our weekend night shift team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment used in the processing and movement of metal materials.

What you’re responsible for:
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, adjustments, alignments, and servicing of various equipment, including:
    • Conveyor
    • Grinder
    • Shredder
    • Vibrating table
    • Hydraulic system
    • Press
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, breakdowns, and failures.
  • Inspect for wear, repair, or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
  • Test repaired equipment to verify performance and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting to improve equipment efficiency and functionality.
  • Carry out installation and upgrades of new machines or equipment.
  • Complete work orders and follow up as necessary.
  • Ensure proper use and operation of company equipment.
  • Inform the immediate supervisor of any required actions, detected issues, or time overruns.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Work safely and in compliance with health & safety (SST) policies and company procedures.
  • Perform any other related tasks.
To join our team:
  • Strong experience in maintenance, repair, and adjustment of mechanical equipment such as conveyors, grinders, shredders, vibrating tables, hydraulic systems, and presses.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical issues, breakdowns, and failures, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Skilled in testing repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with standards.
  • Ability to collaborate on problem‑solving to improve equipment efficiency and functionality.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, including workplace cleanliness, compliance with health & safety (SST) regulations, and safe work practices.
