Are you a diagnostic expert who thrives on solving complex industrial challenges with speed and precision?

We are looking for a highly skilled and safety-focused Industrial Mechanic to become the steward of reliability for our critical industrial facility.

The Impactful Role:
  • Drive Reliability through Expert Preventative Maintenance (PM): Proactively maintain and optimize critical assets to maximize lifespan, minimize unscheduled failures, and ensure long-term equipment health.
  • Master Complex Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Rapidly isolate and identify the root cause of intricate mechanical, electrical, and system failures using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Execute Precision Repairs: Perform timely, accurate, and lasting repairs that drastically minimize operational downtime and immediately restore plant efficiency.
Candidate Profile:

This is a challenging and essential role. We seek a proactive, safety-conscious problem-solver—an expert ready to deploy their skills daily to guarantee the reliability and sustained efficiency of our core operations.

  • Exposure to a variety of facility chemicals is expected; WHMIS training is provided.
Responsibilities
  • Execute the plant's maintenance plan, focusing on regular inspections, precise equipment lubrication, and calibration to prevent major breakdowns.
  • Strictly adhere to all PPE requirements, which include wearing steel-toed safety boots, coveralls, full-face respirator, SCBA, and safety glasses/goggles.
  • Quickly troubleshoot equipment issues, make immediate adjustments, and coordinate resources for larger fixes.
  • Perform hands-on work, including tearing down and rebuilding parts and equipment in the shop.
  • Actively participate in all Safe Work Practices, adhere to safety policies, attend weekly toolbox talks, and ensure your work area is clean and organized.
  • Work alongside the Maintenance Supervisor, contractors, and other team members to successfully complete repair work and new equipment installations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • A Class 5 driver's license.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to being highly punctual for shift changes.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • The capability to work well under pressure.
  • Previous building or industrial maintenance experience is an asset, but we provide on-the-job training!
  • Forklift experience is also an asset.
