Industrial Mechanic

Job Description

As an Industrial Mechanic/ Millwright, you will be responsible for performing repair work in and around the plant, focusing on machines and facility maintenance as needed. The facility produces industrial cables and consists of both new and older machines that require electrical service. A significant focus will be on capital projects involving new installations, especially in 2026.

Responsibilities

• Conduct repair work on machines and facilities within the plant.
• Provide electrical service to both new and older machinery.
• Participate in capital projects and new installations, with a major focus in 2026.
• Work with large, diverse teams to ensure project completion.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain safety standards while working on a union site.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and construction-related issues.
• Utilize blueprints for installations and troubleshooting.

Essential Skills

• Red Seal 433A license is ideal, licensed mechanics also encouraged to apply
• Experience in construction, mechanical, and pneumatics.
• Ability to work with large, diverse teams.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of two large buildings on the same road, forming a production facility dedicated to manufacturing industrial cables. Though there is noise present, ear protection is provided to ensure safety. Shifts are available from 6 AM to 6 PM or 10 AM to 10 PM, with availability required 7 days a week. No night shifts are necessary.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
