Overview

As a key member of the Production team, you will maintain high manufacturing efficiencies while delivering a quality product in a safe and clean environment. Shifts Available: Split Shift (Monday-Friday) 6:00am-2:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to manufacturing machinery problems, troubleshoot, and diagnose problems and make repairs as necessary
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
  • Set up equipment for production requirements
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and related repairs on plant equipment
  • Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Work in accordance with applicable legislation, i.e. The Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Workers Compensation Act, WHMIS legislation, Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines under the Health Protection Branch and the Food and Drug Act, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and production line operators
  • Organize and store unused dies, and spare machine parts in appropriate storage areas
  • Change dies, inserts in dies, and parts to machines during product changeovers.
Qualifications
  • 433A Certificate
  • 1-3 years as a certified 433A mechanic preferred
  • Basic math and writing skills
  • Experience in high-speed packaging equipment, flow wrappers, cartoners, labelers, coders, conveyors, and parts fabrication an asset
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Works well in a team setting as well as the ability to work independently
