Job Description

• Review production schedules, processes, specifications and related information.

• Design manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

• Develop and implement process improvements and technology upgrades.

• Design control systems to minimize production costs and problems.

• Develop design and manufacturing standards in conjunction with management and staff use.

• Make lists of supplies and equipment, purchase orders, analyze costs, and estimate production costs.

• Design the facility layout and determine staffing requirements.

• Train employees on new procedures and provide instructions and manuals.

• Manage process documentation and prepare production reports.

• Perform manufacturing and assembly tasks for assigned products.

• Perform quality checks on the functionality of parts and components.

• Add finishing touches to the look of the component.

• Optimize production efficiency by adjusting machine and equipment settings as needed.

• Make minor repairs and report problems in a timely manner.

• Maintain equipment maintenance records, as well as maintain a safe and orderly work environment.

• Update productivity records and write incident reports as required.

• Train and supervise new employees.

• Coordinate with other departments to complete production orders on time.

• Comply with internal policies and industry regulations.

Requirements

• Requires an Industrial Engineering degree or related field.
