Job description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Industrial Engineer on a permanent basis on our Supply Chain team.

This position is a hybrid opportunity and can be based in either Saskatoon, SK, Edmonton, AB, Calgary, AB or Winnipeg, MB.

We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Industrial Engineering professional who thrives on improving processes, enhancing productivity, and supporting day‑to‑day operational excellence in our Distribution Centers. This role offers the opportunity to apply analytical skills, collaborate across departments, and lead impactful process and layout improvements that strengthen our DC network.

What you’ll do:
  • Investigate, develop and design solutions for review to improve overall operating efficiency of the Distribution Centers
  • Research, analyze, plan and optimize logistics systems to meet productivity, quality and growth targets.
  • Provide technical information, data and/or analysis to DC Operations team members in support of new and improved DC standard operating procedures.
  • Assist and collaborate with the rollout of new initiatives with the Distribution Center to ensure a smooth transition and make changes/modifications as necessary.
  • Ensure warehouse management system and related hardware meet the needs of operations and is standardized across FCL’s distribution network.
  • Plan and manage assigned projects that are centered on optimizing Distribution Centre space utilization to meet forecasted demand and desired Retail service levels.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with this team, the Supply Chain Administration team and the Distribution Centres management team. You will report into the Senior Manager, Distribution Centre Optimization on a team that strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, high performance and engagement.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:

  • Have 4+ years of relevant and progressively responsible experience in engineering related to warehousing, transportation and logistics.
  • Experience with enterprise resource management (ERM) systems from procurement to implementation and maintenance.
  • Have a degree in Engineering (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Eligible for registration with the Professional Engineer Association within province of residence.
  • Skills in database analysis and manipulation, and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
