What you will do

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive improvement through process and value stream mapping, line balancing, capacity analysis, factory layouts, lean manufacturing principles and strategic planning for automation and capital expenditures. This individual will :

  • Developing production area models using process flows, value stream maps, Pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to capture material flow, information exchange, and key performance metrics
  • Analyzing operational data and performance metrics to identify issues and improvement opportunities
  • Contributing to strategic roadmaps focused on capacity, automation, digital transformation, infrastructure, and new technology integration
  • Partnering with program management, operations, facilities, and engineering teams to optimize factory layout and support program needs
  • Leading FMEA reviews, scrap material analyses, feasibility studies, and ROI‑based cost‑benefit evaluations
Education and Technical Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent in engineering / science)
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (defense industry preferred)
  • Working towards or eligible for P.Eng license
  • Experience with high‑mix, mid‑volume production environments
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and / or Six Sigma principles
  • Experience with capacity analysis, manufacturing technologies, production systems, and performance metrics
  • Knowledge of simulation tools
  • Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and team‑building skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
