Job summary
General Mills, Inc. Winnipeg is seeking a skilled Electrician (Term) to support and optimize electrical and control systems on a 12-hour shift basis.
The role involves programming and maintaining FANUC robotics, integrating with PLCs, and contributing to continuous improvement projects in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The position requires a Red Seal Electrician, experience with PLC/HMI, and strong safety awareness.
Qualifications
- Must have Red Seal Electrician certification.
- 2+ years experience in controls programming or related education.
- 3+ years experience in FANUC robotics troubleshooting in manufacturing.
- Experience integrating FANUC robots with PLC systems and optimizing robot performance.
Responsibilities
- Support, troubleshoot and improve processing/packaging controls systems (Wonderware, ArchestrA, PLC).
- Program and maintain FANUC robotics, including integration with PLCs.
- Read/update electrical & control schematics and P&IDs; participate in root cause analysis.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to boost platform performance.
