Job summary

The Kenora Timberstrand Plant, part of Weyerhaeuser, seeks an Industrial Electrician (Red Seal) to maintain and improve electrical and electromechanical systems across the facility. You will work under the Electrical and Instrument Supervisor and contribute to reliable power distribution, PLC control, and networked automation.

Starting wage is $50.20/hour with a $3,000 hiring bonus and relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Provincial or Interprovincial Red Seal certification as an Electrician.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (days/nights).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, and motor control systems.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical systems, including pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Program and maintain Allen–Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and networks.
• Operate EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, GE iFIX HMIs, and related networks.
• Use SAP CMMS to manage work orders and PM tasks.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance for plant improvements.
