We currently have an opportunity for an Industrial Electrician at our Richardson Port Terminal located in Thunder Bay. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position will provide support for electrical repair and maintenance of plant equipment in a heavy industrial environment.

Responsibilities
  • Installs, modifies, repairs and maintains electrical circuits, devices and equipment
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses electrical and control equipment
  • Participates in training related to this position
  • Operates in accordance with health, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices
  • Provides assistance to other Maintenance team members
  • Responds to after-hours emergency calls on a rotational basis
Qualifications
  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician with 2+ years of heavy industrial experience.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting electrical schematics, automation, and plant equipment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in confined spaces, heights, and extreme conditions.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer applications.
  • Safety-focused, with a strong work ethic and availability for shifts, shutdowns, and emergency call-ins.
Asset
  • Diploma of Technology
  • Strong IT background
  • Networking experience (Ethernet, Profibus and Modbus)
  • Programming experience
  • Any other mechanical trades, fabricator would be considered an asset
