Industrial Electrical Supervisor - High / Medium Voltage

Role Description: The Industrial Electrical Supervisor develops and supervises the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan, establishes systematic failure/problem and performance analysis on equipment, defines corrective actions, and generates improvement opportunities. The role also supports Engineering in researching and assessing the best equipment and in the startup of new pieces of equipment, with a specific focus on the maintenance and inspection of Medium / High voltage equipment in Sault Ste. Marie.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensures the application of health, safety and environment standards and practices; reports incidents, performs inspections, participates in investigations, implements preventive/corrective actions, and keeps risk analyses and environmental assessments up to date.
- Manages performance of direct reports by applying CBA and conducting annual performance reviews; a key component in the Maintenance Process.
- Optimizes reliability and maintainability of equipment by defining maintenance strategies, supervising the preventive maintenance plan, ensuring systematic failure/problem and performance analysis, defining corrective actions, generating improvement opportunities, and providing technical support to emergency crews and staff areas.
- Maintains a visible presence in the mill to foster employee engagement, communication, and assessment of work‑process effectiveness.
- Draws up the maintenance cost budget and keeps costs within agreed limits.
- Guarantees technical resource availability and ensures a suitable minimum stock.
- Manages and updates the maintenance information system and technical documentation.
- Supports Engineering in research and assessment of the best equipment and the startup of new equipment; supports other areas in defining responsibilities related to their domain.
- Interacts with internal and external contacts with a high level of autonomy.
- Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures, management standards, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Proactively motivates coaches, communicates with and develops staff, manages HR‑related activities in line with HR norms and procedures, and protects facilities, equipment, and other physical resources.
Your Qualifications
- 5 years experience in Medium and High Voltage maintenance; trades work or hands‑on engineering technician is an asset.
- 8 years experience in a maintenance environment.
- Post‑secondary education in Electrical Trade, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Specialization in High / Medium voltage equipment within an industrial setting is preferred.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with manufacturing‑environment safety procedures.
- Previous experience with SAP PM considered an asset.

Schedule & Working Conditions
- 8‑hour days Monday to Friday with flexibility based on business needs.
- On‑call rotation.
- Work performed in a steel manufacturing mill.
