A global leader in tubular products is seeking an Industrial Electrical Supervisor in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. You will manage maintenance strategies, supervise a team, and ensure safety standards in a steel manufacturing mill. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Medium and High Voltage maintenance and holds relevant educational qualifications. This position includes an on-call rotation with flexible hours, contributing to both operational efficiency and employee development.

The Industrial Electrical Supervisor develops and supervises the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan. Ensures systematic failure, problem and performance analysis on equipment, defining corrective actions and generating improvement opportunities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the application of health, safety and environment standards and practices.
  • Responsible for performance management of direct reports.
  • Optimizes reliability and maintainability of equipment by defining the maintenance strategy for each system.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the mill to foster employee engagement, communication and assess work process effectiveness within the team.
  • Draws up the maintenance cost budget and keep costs within agreed limits.
  • Guarantees technical resource availability, ensuring a suitable minimum stock.
  • Manages and updates the maintenance information system and technical documentation.
  • Supports the Engineering area in the research and assessment of the best equipment available and the startup of new pieces of equipment.
  • Interacts with internal and/or external contacts with a higher level of autonomy.
  • Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards.
  • Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops their staff.

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in Medium and High Voltage maintenance.
  • 8+ years’ experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Trade (442a), Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Specialization in High/Medium voltage equipment within an Industrial setting is preferred.
  • Applicant must be able to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Applicant must be familiar with manufacturing environment safety procedures.
  • Previous experience with SAP PM considered an asset.

Schedule & Working Conditions:

  • 8hr Days – Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on business needs.
  • On-call rotation.
  • Work is performed in a steel manufacturing mill.
