Job summary

Michelin in Waterville, Nova Scotia, is looking for an Automation Engineer to design and implement electrical automation for the manufacturing line. You will specify, purchase, and construct automation systems, with project management and start-up responsibilities.

The role involves developing design studies, overseeing procurement, and leading installation, commissioning, and start-up in an industrial plant environment to meet productivity and quality goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of proven experience in electrical automation design.

Responsibilities

Provide detailed electrical design and automation programming for assigned projects.
Develop estimates and schedules for process equipment additions or upgrades.
Train plant maintenance teams on new automation systems.
Collaborate with internal teams and manage contractor engagements as needed.
Lead major capital projects from start to finish, including commissioning.
