Job Profile

Our Industrial / Autobody Painters are responsible for preparing, refinishing, and restoring the surfaces of commercial vehicles and industrial equipment—including trucks, trailers, and heavy‑duty machinery—to ensure a high‑quality, durable, and professional finish. This position requires strong technical skills in surface preparation, mixing and applying coatings, color matching, and finishing techniques according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.

Our painters work with a variety of materials and finishes, including primers, urethanes, enamels, and epoxy coatings, using spray equipment and other tools in a controlled environment. The role involves collaboration with body technicians and production staff to meet project deadlines, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure all work meets company and industry specifications.

Job Duties
  • Clean, mask and prepare surfaces to be painted
  • Prep, fill and sand body panels
  • Use various paint application processes such as airless, air, roller, pressure pot, and brush
  • Wear appropriate masks and respirators
  • Complete touch ups after final assembly
  • Maintain cleanliness of paint equipment and workspace
  • Maintain inventory and prepare for projects
  • Plan workflow and coordinate with fabrication group as required
  • Operate forklift and / or loader
  • Operate diesel compressor and sandblast equipment
Qualifications
  • Must be proficient with body filler and panel prep
  • Must have knowledge of automotive and industrial product
  • Must be comfortable wearing appropriate PPE, SATA respiratory system, Tyvek suit
  • Automotive painting and bodywork experience is an asset
  • Previous industrial painting experience
  • Class 5 driver’s license
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate production needs
  • Industrial sandblasting experience is an asset
