Job summary

Ch’íyáqtel Wellness seeks a Registered Social Worker (RSW) or MSW to provide culturally safe, trauma-informed therapy to Indigenous communities in British Columbia. The role centers Indigenous healing, decolonized practice, and collaboration with Elders and community partners.

You will handle funding navigation, holistic modalities, and write clinical documentation while upholding strong anti-oppressive values. Flexible scheduling and supportive supervision are offered.

Qualifications

  • Must hold BC College of Social Workers registration as an RSW or eligibility.
  • Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Experience with Indigenous clients and communities, including intergenerational trauma and colonial impacts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family therapy with a trauma-informed, culturally safe lens.
  • Navigate funding streams (FNHA, NIHB) for clients.
  • Integrate traditional healing with Western modalities with client direction.
  • Support clients through impacts of residential schools and colonial policies.
  • Collaborate with Elders and community organizations in care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting.
  • Participate in team consultation and ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to a culture of anti-oppressive, decolonized practice.
