Qualifications

  • CPA designation is mandatory.
  • Experience with First Nations communities is an asset.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements.
  • Manage multiple client files and conduct inventory counts.
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and reports.
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies in financial entries.
  • Develop effective working relationships with clients.

Skills

CPA designation
Experience working with First Nations communities
Relevant public accounting experience (2 to 4 years)
Knowledge of GAAP
Familiarity with SEC and IFRS
Experience with accounting and tax software
Understanding of business and management principles
