You connect authentically with communities through school visits, cultural events, and community initiatives, ensuring SAIT’s recruitment efforts are culturally responsive and grounded in respect.
Personable and strategic, you use in‑person and virtual outreach to inspire interest. You work closely with Natoy So Poyi’s SAIT Indigenous Student Supports office to ensure recruitment efforts connect seamlessly with the wrap‑around supports available to Indigenous learners on campus. Your approach blends traditional recruitment activities with creative, culturally relevant experiences that reflect the unique needs and values of Indigenous audiences. You provide guidance and insight to strengthen communications, ensuring Indigenous perspectives are reflected in materials, events, and the overall prospective student experience.
You coordinate logistics for recruitment travel and events and often take on an advising role yourself, helping students navigate program selection, admissions, and funding opportunities. Your presentations and presence leave a lasting impression, supported by your deep knowledge of SAIT’s offerings and post‑secondary education pathways. With exceptional communication skills and a commitment to relationship‑building you cultivate partnerships with schools, Indigenous communities, community organizations, industry, faculty, and staff, contributing to SAIT’s commitment to advancing Indigenous student success.
