Job summary

An educational institution in British Columbia is seeking an Indigenous Resource Teacher to support K-12 learners. This position requires extensive knowledge of Indigenous pedagogy and will involve modeling teaching methodologies and providing outdoor learning experiences. Candidates should have a BC Teaching Certificate and prefer significant teaching experience in public schools. The position is set to commence from September 1, 2025, to February 15, 2026.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in the British Columbia public school system is preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience in educational research and methodology for instructing Indigenous students.

Responsibilities

  • Support K-12 learners throughout the District.
  • Model proven Indigenous teaching methodologies to teachers and support staff.
  • Provide cross-curricular guided inquiry experiences outdoors.
